About Megan Metzger & MMC

Megan Metzger Consulting, LLC (MMC) was founded by Megan Metzger. Megan proudly established MMC after more than 20 years of experience in the nanny industry, in which she started as a nanny and worked as one for over 9 years before starting a nanny agency herself in 2001. She employs nannies in her own home and with her four children, Hunter, Lily, Emma and Mason.
A successful entrepreneur, Megan is an executive board member of the North Carolina Center for Entrepreneurship (NCEC). She is a dedicated contributor to both the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies (APNA) and the International Nanny Association (INA) – the latter of which she served as the President of the Board of Directors. Currently, Megan instructs business classes at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
It goes without saying (but we’ll say it anyway) that Megan is truly passionate about helping business owners reach their professional and personal goals in life. After mentoring and supporting both fledgling and well-established agencies over her 20+ years in the industry, Megan decided to commit her time and energies to helping as many agencies as she could, and founded Megan Metzger Consulting (MMC). She did so with the goal of providing the most clarity, direction, advice, resources and tools available to agency owners (new and existing), but in a down to earth, honest approach that she’s become well-known for in her leadership and expert roles across the nanny industry.

Megan founded Preferred ChildCare in 2001 as a resource for local parents to find quality care. Today Preferred ChildCare has one of the largest temp divisions in the nation as well as provides traditional nanny placements, vacation assistance, and back-up care.

Preferred ChildCare proudly partners with >100 local churches, country clubs, summer camps and other community organizations. With a strong dedication to innovation and setting best practices for the nanny industry.

Preferred ChildCare was the winner of the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies (APNA) Honors Innovation Award (2016) for the new and creative ways they have helped redefine the nanny agency industry and grow their business.
